Recognizing environmental health and safety as a top priority, environmental safety is considered first and foremost throughout the design, production, use and disposal of products.

We implement 5 management measures to achieve the year without accident
We actively invests in at air pollution prevention facilities and manages them below the standard of the firm(SCR, SNCR and Desulfurization equipment, etc). We also installed TMS at the main outlet to check the concentration of pollutants in real time. In addition, we operate direct combustion facility(Flare stack, RTO) to reduce odors and VOCs and implements “zero odor” factories through regular inspections.
Waste water from each plant is disposed of at the wastewater treatment plant in the site and then enters the sewage treatment plant operated by the city. We select goals for reducing waste water generation by major sources and reduce waste water generation by improving the process for recycling wastewater. In addition, for emergency, an emergency barrier is installed in the rainwater canal to transport to the wastewater treatment plant to prevent environmental accidents.
We thoroughly manage harmful chemicals used in the workplace from warehousing to use and disposal after obtaining approval in advance for handling, purchasing and using new substances. We also actively respond to chemical regulations outside of Korea and reduce the use of harmful chemicals annually through the survey of chemical emissions(TRI).
In the event of waste, organic components are supplied strategically to the sewage treatment plant for replacement of advanced treatment drugs, and waste generated by the process is reused as a neutralizing agent.

permission or approval of more than 1 ton of chemicals manufactured or imported within the EU.
It is a global environmental regulation that has a huge impact on not only local companies but

We established task force team in 2007 for risk management and strategic response to REACH implementation and registered major chemicals in 2008 considering supply chain and risk aspects. Currently, we are conducting activities such as communication with customers and business partners and Substance Information Exchange Forum(SIEF) according to REACH response strategy and registration schedule. We will actively respond to the new paradigm shift in the chemical industry with our customers and business partners and support REACH’s goal of human health, environmental protection and safe use of chemicals.
